18" Adjustable Duct Support
A duct support kit designed for smaller round and square ductwork. Adjustable in width and height.
A frame constructed of struts and MIRO's patented bases that are used to support duct on flat roofs. Unique design allows a sturdy support without penetrating or causing damage to the roof membrane. Ducts rest on a 14 gauge channel and are adjustable in height and width. All 4-DSA models are manufactured in a 14-gauge telescoping design for maximum adjustability in length and height. The bases are polycarbonate plastic and all other metal parts are made of hot-dip galvanized steel.
DESCRIPTION
Deflection in horizontal strut is not to exceed the horizontal span length divided by 360° or 1/8".
- loading on the horizontal strut is not to exceed the shear or bending moment capacity of the strut
- vertical support strut is to be sized adequately to prevent buckling and other failure modes
- maximum load from any MIRO base to the finished roof surface is not to exceed 2.0 psi unless noted otherwise in the building specifications
- following installation and periodically thereafter verify that the duct is seated properly on the vertical strut to distribute the load evenly between supports
